1. 6.6L V8 Engine Options

There are two engine options for the Sierra 2500HD: a standard 6.6L V8 gas engine and an available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. With the standard gas engine, your Sierra 2500 can reach 401 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 464 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. The available diesel engine gives your Sierra increased power and towing capabilities, producing 470 horsepower at 2800 rpm with 975 lb.-ft. of torque at 1600 rpm and a maximum towing capacity of 21,870 pounds on the crew cab model.

2. Sierra HD Pro Safety

The Sierra HD Pro Safety package takes assistive driving to the next level by using a combination of functions to monitor your Sierra’s surroundings. Functions in the Sierra HD Pro Safety package include:

Hitch Guidance comes in handy when it’s time to attach your trailer to the hitch because it shows you an in-cabin display of your hitch with a digital guideline for aligning the two perfectly.

4. GMC Infotainment System

The 2025 SierraHD comes with a 7-inch GMC infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration capability. Pair your phone to the truck to make hands-free phone calls or send text messages as you drive. The GMC infotainment system also has Bluetooth audio streaming that allows you to stream music from other devices.
