1. Cab-Mounted Cargo Area Lamps

If you’ve ever struggled to get work finished after hours, you’ll love the Silverado’s cab-mounted cargo area lamps. Crew cab and double cab models have LED cargo lamps while regular cab models have incandescent lamps, all of which illuminate your truck bed for nighttime projects.

2. Chevy Safety Assist

Experience more peace of mind with the Chevrolet Silverado’s Chevy Safety Assist package. Chevy Safety Assist includes:

  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
  • IntelliBeam
  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Following Distance Indicator
  • Front Pedestrian Braking

These assistive functions use a combination of sensors and cameras to detect vehicles, pedestrians, and obstacles in your vehicle’s path. Functions like Forward Collision Alert issue audio alerts before a collision occurs, giving you time to hit the brakes. If not, they activate Automatic Emergency Braking to prevent an accident.

3. Solar-Absorbing Glass

The intense UV rays of the sun can damage your skin and fade your truck’s interior elements, such as leather or vinyl seating. Solar-absorbing glass prevents this by absorbing the sun’s light blocking it from entering the interior. It can also keep your cabin cooler by keeping the sun’s heat out.

4. Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System

For both entertainment and convenience, the Silverado 1500 has a Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. This system includes smartphone connectivity features, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also includes Bluetooth audio streaming for hands-free phone calls, using GPS navigation, and more.

5. StabiliTrak

StabiliTrak electronic stability control enhances your truck’s stability during emergency maneuvers by adjusting your brakes and engine torque. This keeps you on your intended path and prevents your vehicle from rolling.

StabiliTrak also includes traction control, which detects wheel slippage on wet or icy terrains. When StabiliTrak senses slippage, it reduces engine power and applies the brakes to help you maintain control behind the wheel. Trailer Sway Control and Hill Start Assist are also part of the StabiliTrak system, helping you tackle tricky scenarios with confidence.

6. TurboMax Engine

The new Chevy 1500 comes with a TurboMax engine that provides a powerful performance. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, this engine delivers an astounding 310 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 430 lb.-ft. of torque at 3000 rpm.
