The 2025 GMC Yukon is a full-sized SUV and a true family favorite. Whether you are taking the kids to school or planning a road trip for the whole family, the Yukon has the space, carrying capacity, and comfort to make every trip a memorable experience. We want to tell you more about some of the features that make it the perfect family vehicle.

A Smooth Ride
Magnetic ride control suspension is standard, and this advanced system uses electronically controlled shock absorbers. These shock absorbers contain iron particles in a solution that reacts to magnetic fields, reducing the effect of bumps and rough terrain. In addition, sensors monitor the road and send up to 1,000 instructions a minute to the shock absorbers to allow precise handling.
The Yukon also features an independent rear suspension rather than a solid axle. If you have a solid axle and a wheel hits a bump, you’ll feel it. An independent suspension allows both wheels to move up and down separately, giving you more control and greatly reducing vibrations as only the wheel driving over the bump is affected.
Large interior
The Yukon has standard seating for seven passengers, which can be increased to eight by replacing the second-row captain’s chairs with a bench seat. All three seating rows have generous head and legroom, with 42.3″ of headroom and 44.5″ of legroom in the front row, 38.9″ of headroom and 42″ of legroom in the second row, and 38.2″ of headroom and 34.9″ of legroom in the third row.
Entertainment Features
Keeping the kids entertained can be difficult, particularly on a long trip. If they get bored, you could easily become distracted by the need to check what they’re doing. When you have a GMC Yukon, the available Rear-Seat Media System includes two 12.6″ full-color high-definition screens attached to the seat headrests, two Bluetooth headphone sets, and two HDMI ports on the rear center console. This system will keep the kids happy and focused while you travel.
Carrying Capacity
When you prepare for a field day, a road trip, or exploring the great outdoors, there are always lots of things you need to take with you. The GMC Yukon has room in the trunk for 25.5 cubic feet of cargo. This increases to 72.5 cubic feet with the third row folded down and 122.8 cubic feet with the second-row seating stowed.
You can also tow anything that won’t fit in the trunk. The Yukon can tow up to 8,400 pounds and has available trailering tech to make hitching, unhitching, and towing easier and safer than ever.
