Time for Drive Thru? Find the Best Burgers Near Newark, OH

Of all the great inventions, the burger ranks up there as one of the best. You’ve had the fast-food burgers a thousand times: try one of the best burgers we have here in Newark, OH when you want a refreshing change. We have some great options, and all of these are places you can pack the family into the Chevy Trax LS for and know everyone will have a good time when you arrive.

Draft House

Draft House is at 15 W Main St, and they are open by 10AM during the week. They’re closed on the weekends. This is a great place to hang out, and there’s a family-friendly atmosphere and lots of options for picky kids to eat. They have a fantastic selection of craft beers, lagers, pilsners, and more. If you enjoy these, be sure to do so responsibly and never drink and drive.

If you go here, you just have to try their Benji Boy Girl Burger, which comes with bacon, cheese, roast beef, ham, lettuce and tomato, pickles, onions, and sauce. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind offering, and it’s hard to explain until you’ve tried it. They also do a great double cheeseburger, a pizza burger, and a huge 1/3lb sirloin burger with spicy pepper jack.

BRU Burger Bar

For another break from fast-food burgers, head over to BRU Burger Bar. It’s located at 691 N Cleveland Ave in Westerville. It’s a bit of a drive, but if Draft House isn’t doing it for you, and you don’t want any more fast food, this is a wonderful option that’s totally worth the drive. They’re open from 11AM until 9PM during the week, and until 10PM on Friday and Saturday. When you get there, ask for outdoor seating if you can: their patio area is great.

As you can tell by the name, burgers are what they do here. They have a signature grind of chuck, brisket, and sirloin that is absolutely fabulous. Try the Truffle White Cheddar, the Double Bacon, and The End, which is horseradish Havarti, an over-easy egg, caramelized onions, tomato, lettuce, and truffle aioli. These are just a few of your options: there are tons more. They also have great salads, a cool kids’ menu, and absolutely delicious desserts. If you have any room, try their peach-white chocolate bread pudding.

Barrel & Board Newark

Barrel & Board is at 5 N 3rd St, and they have a really funky vibe, delicious craft beer, awesome BBQ, and, of course, nice burgers. All their burgers are half a pound and grilled up to order, and they have a gluten-free option.

We recommend you get the Barrel & Board burger, which is a half-pound of fabulous meat, bacon, pulled pork, pimento cheese, fried onions, and their BBQ sauce. They’ve also got a sweet potato burger for the vegetarians among us. For kids, there’s mac and cheese, bbq tacos, chicken tenders, ribs, and even plain buttered noodles if that’s what floats your child’s boat.
