Three of the Best Pizza Places Near Newark, OH

Pizza is just about the world's most popular food. If you ever find yourself someplace that has no pizza joints, you know you've reached the ends of the earth! Luckily, we have good options here in Newark, OH. We'd like to recommend some places to go for the best pizza in our town.

Plaza Pizza

This is a beloved local joint offering some genuinely unique takes on the traditional Italian pie. The owners are hard-working people committed to offering every customer an amazing experience, so it's no surprise to any of us that they won 2021 Best of the Best in Licking County. This is also a great place to order pizza for a catered event. Every pie here is handmade from the start, with fresh ingredients only.

Their All the Meats is a classic, of course, and we're partial to their All the Way, which is pepperoni and mushroom with onion, green pepper, green olives, and banana peppers. The BLT is unique and is basically the sandwich you love on a pizza base with lettuce and mayo on top. For something really fun, be sure to order their Shirley Lou for dessert. It's a pizza topped with apple pie filling they make themselves, a crunchy streusel topping, and icing.

Too Talls Pizza

Too Talls has wonderful service and great food. The pizza is spot on, but you'll also enjoy their cheesy garlic bread (if you can get any once your kids dig into it). In addition to great pizza, they have nice stromboli and awesome subs. Their prices are some of the best in town. This place has been family-owned and operating since 1993.

Try the All the Way pizza, which always comes out right, despite the amazing number of toppings. They also never stint you on the cheese, which we love. Every bite is ooey and gooey. They are happy to cater to specific dietary needs, also, so you can cheese-free pizza, for example, that's still delicious. And while pizza is the main thing here, you don't want to miss their taco salad if you're in the mood.

Debra's Pizza

Debra's has been in business for more than 30 years, and their commitment to the community really makes this a local institution. Debra's makes everything from scratch, and you can eat in, pick up your pie, or get delivery. The pizza is great, but so are the wings, subs, and the amazing potato wedges (you won't be able to get enough of those). Try their Philly cheesesteak specialty sub.

For pizza, we recommend the chicken BBQ here in particular but do be aware that it comes with pineapple. If you are a pineapple hater, try their Philly Beef pizza, which comes with roast beef, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and ranch dressing. It's all smothered in mozzarella, too. You'll also appreciate their calzones if you prefer your pizza folded up!

We love these places and hope you will, too. After your feast, come see us at Coughlin Chevrolet Buick GMC Newark to look over our inventory and get the best vehicle service in town!
