2023 GMC Acadia
The GMC Acadia is an upscale option for car buyers looking to haul their families. Its versatile cabin has three rows of seats, and it even comes in an off-road-ready mode. For the 2023 model year, the Acadia carries over with minimal changes. It has a new steering wheel for the SLT, AT4, and Denali trims, and GMC added new exterior color options. Read on for more details about the 2023 GMC Acadia.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The SLE starts the Acadia lineup with 18-inch wheels, keyless entry, LED headlights, and heated side exterior mirrors. A step up to the SLT gets you roof rails, LED fog lights, and a hands-free liftgate. Choose the AT4 for unique 17-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, and black exterior trim elements. At the top of the lineup, the Denali comes with 20-inch alloy wheels and power-folding, auto-dimming side exterior mirrors. The Denali Ultimate Package adds a panoramic sunroof and the tow package to the Denali trim.
Engine (Power)
Power for the SLE and SLT trims on the 2023 Acadia comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 228 horsepower. The AT4 and Denali get a 3.6-liter V-6 with the ability to deliver 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Both engines work with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and you can get front-wheel or all-wheel drive with either powertrain.
Performance
All the Acadia models provide a smooth ride over most roads, but if you choose the AT4, you'll get standard all-wheel drive, plus extra off-road capabilities. This model provides significantly better all-weather traction for extra confidence when the roads become snow-covered. When properly equipped, all Acadia trims can tow up to 4,000 pounds. The available adaptive suspension dampers make the ride in this SUV even more comfortable and add handling stability.
Interior
The 2023 Acadia can carry up to six people in its three spacious rows. It comes standard with tri-zone automatic climate control and cloth upholstery, with leather upholstery added to the SLT and above. The SLT also gets a power-adjustable driver's seat and heated front seats. If you step up to the Denali, you can enjoy heated second-row seats, ventilated front seats, and a power-adjustable passenger seat.
Technology in the Acadia starts with an 8-inch touchscreen, five USB ports, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a six-speaker stereo. Navigation comes in the SLT, and the Denali adds a wireless charging pad. A head-up display is another feature you'll get in the Denali, and you can opt for a rear-seat entertainment system.
Safety Features
Every 2023 GMC Acadia has a comprehensive list of advanced driver aids. GMC Pro Safety Plus comes standard and includes forward collision warning with automatic braking, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. It also comes with a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert. The Denali offers the option to add the Technology Package with a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, a digital rearview mirror, and an enhanced version of the automatic braking system.
