2022 Chevrolet Colorado

Chevrolet fully redesigned the Colorado in 2021 and made a few minor changes to the Colorado this year. The truck looks especially unique, with Chevrolet's signature logo sitting on top of the blacked-out grille. Square wheel arches and distinctive headlight spaces also help the truck stand out from the crowd. You have the option to choose between the WT, LT, Z71, and ZR2 trims. The WT comes standard with 17-inch painted steel wheels, body-colored side mirrors, automatic projector headlights, and a rear bumper with a corner step. The higher trims allow you to add projector-beam headlights, full-locking differentials, and towing equipment. A special off-road sport bar can give your Colorado additional visibility at night and add to its rugged look.

Three engine options are available on the Colorado. The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque, followed by a 3.6-liter V-6 with 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. For even more power, there's also an available turbocharged 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel with 181 horsepower and an impressive 369 pound-feet of torque. The four-cylinder can get the job done when it comes to your daily commute, while the diesel option gives the Colorado its best-in-class towing capabilities, making hauling heavier loads easy. The four-cylinder and diesel engines both pair with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the V-6 pairs with an 8-speed automatic.

The Colorado comes standard with rear-wheel drive, although four-wheel drive is also available. Independent-front suspension ensures the ride quality is smooth and the truck is stable on the road, no matter the terrain. For additional off-roading capabilities, the Z71 and ZR2 trims both include features like hill descent control and a heavy-duty suspension system that helps keep the truck composed on muddy, grassy, or rocky ground. A towing capacity of 7,000 pounds with the V-8 engine and 7,700 pounds with the diesel engine also adds to the truck's impressive abilities.

The truck's comfortable, well-designed exterior is made of plenty of durable materials that are great for withstanding wear and tear. Plenty of lumbar support in the front seats helps both driver and passenger feel comfortable, and the seating position offers excellent visibility. A long center console bin and a huge compartment tucked under the crew cab's rear seat provide plenty of storage space. You'll also find a standard 7-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities and Bluetooth streaming. An 8-inch touch screen, extra USB ports, built-in navigation, and a larger speaker system are also available.
